August 7 - Voter advocacy groups are increasing their watch over state election officials.
Reports of voter registration purging have already surfaced in Kansas, Michigan and Mississippi.
Edward Hailles Jr. Senior Attorney with the Advancement
Project is watching the states closely for voter purging, which tends to impact African Americans
and Latinos more often. Hailes first speaks about what voter purging is.

June 24 - Four years ago, Congress passed the Help America Vote Act to try to
avoid election problems like the 2000 Florida recount. Part of that
bill included the creation of the Election Assistance Commission. The
Commission is charged with overhauling election guidelines and
reporting on ballot issues in federal elections.

June 13 - Minority voters are often considered the bread and butter of the Democratic
Party's constituency. But the party has been less successful at getting those
voters involved in party politics. States across the country are in the process
of selecting delegates to attend the Democratic National Convention in August.
And the results will determine if minority voters will see themselves represented
on the convention floor in Denver. Jes Burns Reports.

June 2 - Florida and Michigan will count, by half. Clinton threatens extended primary.
It was a tumultuous day at a Marriott Hotel in Washington
DC where the Democratic Rules and Bylaws Committee decided to award Florida
and Michigan half of their delegates.

Rules or Politics? Preview of Meeting to Determine Michigan and Florida Debacle
May 30 - Tomorrow the Democratic rules committee meets to determine the fate of the
Michigan and Florida delegates. The Democratic
Party stripped both states of
their delegations for moving their primaries too early. But the prolonged
and close race this primary, plus repeated demands by the Clinton campaign
to seat the delegates, will all culminate in tomorrow's meeting.

May 5, Feature - Tomorrow is Indiana and North Carolina's presidential primary. Voting will
be tougher for residents of Indiana because of a recent Supreme Court ruling.
Tomorrow, Indiana and North Carolina voters head to the polls. Indiana's election
process was just vetted by the Supreme Court. Last week, the court upheld Indiana's
law requiring voters to bring specific identification to the voting booth.

chads in 2000 which took the election to the Supreme Court, the plague of problematic
electronic voting machines, and now orphaned delegates because a state legislature
decision to move up the state's primary. Disheartened and frustrated, Florida
Senator, Democrat Bill Nelson, offered a sweeping reform package that he says
covers the entire gamut of the electoral process.
