Civil Rights Icon Switches to Obama

Feb. 28, Headlines - Civil Rights Icon and Congressional Black Caucus member representative John Lewis of Georgia has officially switches his endorsement. He's now backing Barack Obama. Lewis cites the strong popularity Obama received by his constituents in Georgia as his reason. Lewis said the decision was difficult because of his close relationship with the Clintons.

Double Bubble election scandal continues in California. The LA County registrar says they will attempt to count all 50,000 ballots where voters failed to identify party affiliation. Election justice advocates are pleased with the decision.

The Obama Camp says it's reached a new milestone: John Lewis and Hillary Clinton, Oct 2007one million donations. Something it claims has never been done before for a presidential primary campaign . They say their next goal is to have it supporters call one million people in Ohio, Texas, Vermont, and Rhode Island before the primary elections in those states on March 4th.

The Clinton Camp is touting their on the ground organization in Texas, claiming to have recruited more than 41,000 volunteers.
