Mar. 19, Headlines - Barack Obama attempted to heal some wounds in his political race by addressing an issue that burns - race in the US.

In one of the most challenging times of his presidential race, Obama was forced to give this speech in response to comments made by his preacher Reverend Jeremiah Wright Sermons where he damned America and other comments considered to be hateful by many.

Obama disavowed the comments, but not the man. Obama moved on to talk about the pangs of race that plague the US and the need to overcome.

"As such, Reverend Wright's comments were not only wrong but divisive, divisive at a time when we need unity; racially charged at a time when we need to come together to solve a set of monumental problems – two wars, a terrorist threat, a falling economy, a chronic health care crisis and potentially devastating climate change. Problems that are neither black or white or Latino or Asian, but rather problems that confront us all.
