Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton called on the President to take action earlier this week. Barack Obama has not. He said at a campaign stop that it's difficult to tell your banker what to do.

Barack Obama says he is in favor of changing the "don't ask, China protester demanding a Free Tibet don't tell" policy on the military. But he stopped short of making a repeal a requirement for his appointees to the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

In addition Obama told The Advocate, a gay news magazine, that if he were to become president he would also work for legislation banning discrimination against gays in the workplace. Obama granted the magazine an interview after it claimed he had been avoiding gay press.
