June 18 - As people across the country celebrate pride month and the first same sex marriages in California, many LGBT advocates are preparing for their next challenge to marriage - constitutional bans. The measure will be on the ballot in California and Florida. As Sean Kinane reports from Tampa, opponents say Amendment 2 could also take away the rights of opposite sex non married couples as well.

Leave It to the States: Candidates on Marriage

Feature, Feb 21 – In the 2004 Presidential race, the issue that polarized the country more than any other was gay marriage. Republicans used the issue to turn out the conservative vote and solidify their base. Eleven states had initiatives on their ballots to ban same sex marriage, all of them passed. The state that came the closest to defeating the anti-gay measure was Oregon.
